AirCorps, LLC and its Building Solutions team completed this large chiller replacement in record time, under difficult conditions with fantastic results yielding, a large energy rebate and long-term savings.

Getting closer to LEED certification and conforming to new energy efficiency standards was the goal of the customer. AirCorps’ solution: A boiler conversion and the chiller replacement with the energy rebate. We replaced two 750-ton chillers in one building and two 300-ton chillers in another, all done over two weekends in the coldest part of January. New cooling towers were also installed to meet the long-run energy efficiency needs for the customer. Over 100,000 pounds of equipment was hoisted into the buildings at outside temps of -5°.

Planning, scheduling and detailed project management made this project a success. That success not only yielded an immediate return for the customer in the form of a $144,000 energy rebate but will also yield $45,000/year in energy savings for the customer.
